Rotary
Rotary heat recovery. Selection includes supply/exhaust pressure balance, purge sectors, seals, rotor controls and maintenance access.
Plate
Heat recovery through fixed passages. Selection includes stream separation, air leakage, condensation, frost protection and drainage.
AHU integration
Heat exchanger dimensions and fan, filter and coil layouts can be coordinated at the AHU design stage.

Support & sectional delivery
Support and reinforcement account for frame weight and eccentric loads, with clearance for delivery and on-site reassembly.
Drive & filter access
Allow access for motor, belt and filter inspection and replacement. Fan selection includes filter pressure losses.

Coordinate condensate drainage, frost protection, free-cooling bypass operation and integration with site controls.

Planning your project
How are rotary and plate heat exchangers selected?
Selection considers supply and exhaust airflow, required sensible and latent recovery, allowable pressure drop and available space. SEOBUN manufactures rotary exchangers in-house and selects and supplies plate exchangers for project requirements.
Does heat exchanger AHRI certification cover the entire AHU?
It covers the exchanger models specified in the certificate. It does not certify the entire AHU or its casing.
